Tea Cups - Wildflower (Wild Flower) Table Ware - Franciscan- 1942 : Hand Decorated Embossed by Annette Honeywell, 1942.

Franciscan Ceramics created and produced some of the most collected dinnerware today, including the Wildflower earthenware art ware pattern.

This vintage coffee cup by Franciscan is a rarity and is a 1942 original. The same artist/designer (Annette Honeywell) also designed the lines Desert Rose (1941), Blue Jessamine (1943, renamed Elsinore in 1946), and California Poppy (1950). This explains the similarities between the beloved Wildflower and the Poppy.

Mark: Made in U.S.A. (back-stamp used from 1934 to 1984) in two lines is historically found in three sizes, very often without other identification. This stamp was used on items too small for larger stamps until 1984.

History:
The Gladding, McBean & Company was founded in 1875 in Lincoln, California.

SELLER UPDATE: A few more found of this collection therefore price raised. Please inquire with questions.
